Concord launches accessory dwelling unit rebate program

The City of Concord has introduced a rebate program offering up to $15,000 to property owners for building accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Funded by a $277,226 grant from the California Housing Finance Agency, the program aims to promote housing production, including low-income options. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds last, with applications due by Sept. 30, 2026. The program includes specific rebate amounts based on unit size and restrictions, and free pre-approved ADU plans are available on the City’s website.
